BT Smart Hub

This platform offers presence detection by looking at connected devices to a BT Smart Hub based router. This router is sometimes referred to as the BT Home Hub 6.

Configuration

To use a BT Smart Hub router in your installation, add the following to your configuration.yamlThe configuration.yaml file is the main configuration file for Home Assistant. It lists the integrations to be loaded and their specific configurations. In some cases, the configuration needs to be edited manually directly in the configuration.yaml file. The integration is now shown on the integrations page under Settings > Devices & services. Its entities are listed on the integration card itself and on the Entities tab.

Configuration Variables

host string (Optional, default: 192.168.1.254)

The IP address of your router

smarthub_model integer (Optional)

The model of your BT Smarthub 1 or 2. If this option is omitted, it will attempt to detect the hub model.
